Position Summary
This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, mission-driven team at a global nonprofit organization making a meaningful impact in corporate governance and leadership. You’ll work closely with a small, driven team and have exposure to an accomplished, globally connected network of senior executives and corporate directors while helping to advance WCD’s important mission.
WCD is seeking an experienced Research and Content Manager to play a central role in developing and delivering high-quality research, programming, and thought leadership to provide value to members, and advance WCD’s mission. This role will serve as a member of the programming team. It combines strong writing, project management, research, and analytical skills to translate complex governance, regulatory, and market issues into compelling, accurate, and clear communications and content for board directors, executives, sponsors, and broader audiences.
The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience with a background in corporate governance, boardroom priorities, and/or capital markets issues, related research, and high-quality, insight-driven writing and content production.
This is a remote position for candidates within the United States. WCD is a virtual team and Florida-based 501(c)(3). Strong preference is for candidates working within the Eastern Time Zone. Occasional travel may be required to attend and assist at in-person meetings and events.
Key Responsibilities
Research, Content Development, and Thought Leadership

Conduct research on corporate governance topics to inform the strategic direction and end-to-end development and execution of WCD’s programming, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and member priorities for a range of in-person and virtual events

Monitor emerging governance trends, policy developments, and member priorities, proactively suggesting content and program ideas to the team (e.g., topics, speakers)

Develop, write, and edit high-quality program and thought leadership materials (e.g., program content, summaries, discussion outlines), synthesizing research findings, notes, and discussions into clear insights and ensuring all content is accurate, well-structured, and audience-appropriate

Participate in calls, interviews, and meetings with directors, executives, sponsors, and other external stakeholders; capture detailed notes and distill them into clear summaries and insights

Provide strong, proactive project management of assigned tasks

Apply clear tracking and performance metrics to consistently and effectively evaluate programming and content, communicate results, and inform future planning

Provide additional research and content development support as needed
Team collaboration and organizational support

Collaborate productively with internal WCD partners (membership, sponsorship, marketing and communications, and operations) to ensure seamless program delivery

Contribute to fostering a culture of creativity, excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement

Participate in organization-wide initiatives, including recruiting and supporting cross-functional priorities

Provide support to WCD colleagues as needed
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required and at least 5 years of professional experience, ideally in a related field

Knowledge of capital markets, corporate governance, and/or boardroom dynamics

Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and live discussions into timely, actionable written insights

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high standard for clarity, accuracy, and tone

Experience engaging with senior executives, board directors, and external stakeholders in a professional setting

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, with a demonstrated willingness to identify opportunities and improve processes or content

Ability to work independently and take ownership of assignments in a remote environment

Ability to collaborate effectively within a small, mission-driven organization, contributing positively to team dynamics and shared organizational goals

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace)
